Music video commisioning process - unit 29: Music video production

The first step in the commissioning process of a music video is to reply to a brief given by a music production company i.e. Warn bros. You must then create a presentation explaining your idea in great detail so that it can be visualised easily by the producer. If your presentation is received well and your idea is chosen then you can move onto the pre-production process. You will be given a budget and time in order to work with the artist so that your vision is captured in its entirety and completed to a professional standard.

  1. Questions:
What is another more film related name for 'presentation?'
How many days on average does a music video take to shoot?
Can you remember any specific advice given by Emil Nava?
